Overview
Emergency preparedness requires that physicians are ready to respond not just to specific types of hazards but also take steps that increase preparedness for any type of public health emergency. To gain a better understanding of the state of physician readiness, the Harvard School of Public Health conducted a poll to examine the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors physicians have about emergency preparedness and training. During this COCA call, a Harvard School of Public Health researcher will share findings from their study, and representatives from two professional associations will discuss policy, practice, and operational tools and resources to assist physicians in emergency preparedness.
