The Dietary Guidelines for Americans is a set of evidence-based recommendations intended to help people choose an overall healthy diet. The 2015–2020 Dietary Guidelines includes 5 Guidelines that encourage healthy eating patterns and several Key Recommendations with specific nutritional targets and dietary limits.
