Identified interventions include programmatic and policy strategies, primary seat belt use, enhanced seat belt enforcement, laws mandating child safety seat use, and education and distribution programs to increase child seat belt use. Several strategies to reduce alcohol impaired driving also are recommended including 0.08 blood alcohol concentration (BAC) laws, reduced BAC laws for young drivers, sobriety checkpoints, and ignition interlocks.
