Description of Resource: 
The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends diabetes self-management education (DSME) interventions in community gathering places to improve glycemic control for adults with type 2 diabetes. DSME is the process of teaching people to manage their diabetes. It can be provided in a variety of community settings.
