We collaborate with dozens of partners in Nigeria, including government and parastatal agencies, private institutions, universities, and non-governmental organizations. Okey Nwanyanwu, PhD., CDC Nigeria Country Director

Okey Nwanyanwu, PhD., joined CDC-Nigeria as the Country Director in 2010. Prior to joining CDC-Nigeria, he served as CDC Country Director for Guyana and South Africa and Senior Advisor for Global HIV/AIDS. He is an internationally recognized leader in the field of public health, epidemiology, malaria control, and HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment. Dr. Nwanyanwu holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and a Doctor of Public Health Degree from the University of Texas, School of Public Health.
