Some of these endocrine glands include the adrenals, chemoreceptor organs, gonads (testis and ovary), hypothalamus, pancreatic islets, parathyroid, pineal, pituitary, and thyroid. These glands secrete hormones that travel through the circulatory system to regulate the various body systems.
